fundamental rights - child vs parents?

This german ruling raises some interesting questions related to body rights, but it can´t hardly be put out of context. there are some questions that seemed to be ignored by the court. what will be the practical consequences if the state outlaws this practice? From a medical perspective, is circumcision a practice that harms the child health or, on the contrary, it may be even healthy and prevent future diseases? Unlike female mutilation there is no connection between male circumscision and the ability to experience sexual pleasure. And the argument that there is a relation between religious freedom of the child and circumcision is absurd. Circumcision is no obstacle to exercise religious freedom, the child will be able to change its beliefs, the practicle obstacles are not physical but social, and this shoud be an important matter to be weighted as a pre-condition to exercise fundamental rights. On the contrary, the court was proud that was not scared off charges of anti-semitism. doesn´t it sound too much positivism (not to say reverberation of  nazi pseudo-legal arguments)?
